Moon chant gatherings began in December 2020 when Elizabeth’s chanting teacher, Radha Sundararajan, encouraged her to chant the Candranamaskrtya-mantrah 108 times on the Full Moon. From that point forward a heart-centered chanting community spontaneously came into being on every Full Moon to bridge in more healing.

Radha has since passed from this Earth, but her generosity and insights continue to carry Elizabeth forward.

In July of 2023, the brilliant meditation teacher, Sally Kempton, unexpectedly passed away. Sally, who had been Elizabeth’s primary teacher/mentor, was also Elizabeth’s initiating force into the power and practice of mantram in 2005. Upon Sally’s passing, the only response Elizabeth could muster from the engulfing grief was to invite people to chant daily. Eventually, the New Moon chant group emerged. We continue to this day as a potent reminder of all of our ancestors, teachers and friends who have passed from this Earth.
